The Museum

The museum was founded in November 1997 by Abdoulie Bayo. Since then the museum has received two Gambian prices. Both were awards for the raising of awareness about Gambian history, culture, natural resources and treasures, as well as the promotion of techniques for economic and ecological sustainability. Currently, the museum is trying to focus more on education, with special programmes for schools.
