Have a drink in the 'Bantaba'

For our guests and visitors we have a ‘bantaba’. The word bantaba means ‘place to rest’ in Gambian. Whether you like to have a picknick in our bantaba, enjoy our garden and have drink later on, or just sit, rest and have drink. You arere highly welcome to our bantaba.

We serve cold drinks for affordable prices. We can serve you Coca Cola, Fanta, Sprite or small- and large bottled mineral water.

As mentioned at the museum page, museum guests will enjoy traditional music, played by our staff, in the bantaba. So when you arrive at the right moment you might also witness a musical performance by our staff.
